There are so many ways to enjoy beautiful holiday lights and more around the South Sound. Check out these seasonal favorites.
Lighted Santa Parade
Wave to Santa during the lighted parade from Auburn High School to City Hall that concludes with a tree lighting. The event is 4:30–6 p.m. on Dec. 4.
Lakewood's Parade of Lights
With one hand on the wheel and the other holding a warm hot chocolate, drive through a static parade where trucks, other parade-like vehicles, and more will be glowing with lights. See the spectacle from 4–8 p.m. on Dec. 11 at Fort Steilacoom Park.
Spanaway Park will be filled with lights and holiday spirit in its 2-mile drive-thru display from 5:30–9 p.m. nightly from Nov. 26–Jan. 2. Tune in to the radio to hear holiday music as you take in nearly 300 light displays, including penguins sliding down ice and Santa sailing in a tall ship. If you’d prefer to walk through, there are designated times to do that, too.
Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium will come alive at night thanks to 700,000 lights. Experience the walk-thru event from 4:30– 10 p.m. from Nov. 26–Jan. 2.
