Alaska Airlines and Surfline are teaming up to bring “Swell Deals” to surfers and beach-lovers. From Nov. 4 to Nov. 8, Alaska will use Surfline’s wave forecast to offer data-generated discounts on Hawaiian flights through Nov. 20. Discounts will run from 10 to 30 percent based on the predicted height of the swells, with bigger waves translating to bigger discounts.

For weekend warriors looking to catch some waves or escape the wintry gloom, “Swell Deals” include four Hawaiian locations to chose from. Fares prices will be updated daily between noon and 5 p.m., based on the latest wave data from Surfline.

With the start of surf season in Hawaii, we saw an opportunity to further support our flyers’ passions by using the power of data to offer better deals as surf conditions improve,” explained Natalie Bowman, Alaska Airlines’ managing director of marketing and communications. “By leveraging data, we can give people another reason to get on a flight, just when they want it most, to enjoy perfect conditions or take that bucket-list trip that they might have otherwise missed.”

For those looking for a last minute getaway or to take advantage of high surf season, Alaska Airlines will base discounts on the following max swell heights, as calculated by Surfline:

  • 10-foot swells: 10 percent off
  • 11- to 15-foot swells: 15 percent off
  • 16- to 20-foot swells: 20 percent off
  • 21-plus-foot swells: 30 percent off
