Cider Swig Festival

Get into the autumnal spirit this weekend by attending the Cider Swig’s 8th Annual Festival: Pick-Up Edition in Tacoma. This year’s festival is providing tasting kits that will boast more than 200 varieties of PNW cider. Those can be preordered here. This eco-friendly community event features not only ciders, food, and music, but also celebrates the region’s agricultural heritage, promotes local businesses, and showcases regional talent. Proceeds will go to the Lu Winsor Environmental grants program.

Franklin Pierce School Farm

This fall, get fresh — and free — produce at The Farm at Franklin Pierce Schools. Every Thursday from 5-7 p.m. throughout October, The Farm will set up a table full of the latest bounty open to the community. For those looking to do some more hands-on work, The Farm will start offering Community Farm Days every Friday and Saturday 9 a.m.-12 p.m. starting in November. Lakewood's 25th Anniversary

This Saturday, the City of Lakewood is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a generous array of food and entertainment. Take a culinary trip around the world via El Puerto Ensenada, Gigo’s Jamaican Grill, Kona Shaved Ice, and other eats.
