Le Igloo Tasting Dinner Series: Noël Week
Celebrate Christmas week at Pike Place's Le Igloo at Maximilien. A festive five-course "Noël Menu" will be served the whole week (Dec. 16-23) leading up to Christmas. You and up to five guests will have authentic French dinner inside your own private and weather-proof igloo. There are time slots a night: 5-7 p.m. and 7:30-9:30 p.m. On the weekend, lunch also can be enjoyed in the igloo from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 2-4 p.m. Click here to make your reservation.
Caribbean Cooking Class
Trini Plate is hosting two consecutive cooking classes at Stink Cheese-Meat and El Tufo Wine Bar in Tacoma Dec. 18. The first class, from 3-4 p.m., will show you how to make flavor-packed Trinidadian beef pies with an all-purpose green seasoning blend. Then, from 5-6:30 p.m., 21-and-over participants will learn how to make Trinidadian rum cake, a popular dessert traditionally enjoyed around Christmas.
