Oscar’s Enemies Adds New Roles
Oscar’s Enemies, a Tacoma-based litter clean-up group, is making trash pickup safer by adding a few new volunteer roles including wheels pushers, drivers, and route leaders. Diva Dream Academy Opens in Seattle
Dignity for Divas, a local nonprofit that provides women experiencing homelessness with essential care packages, recently opened a Diva Dream Academy in the South Lake Union neighborhood. The new 6,843-square-foot building features a café, mediation room, and classroom offering skill and life-building sessions in a holistic healing environment. University Place Student Selected for Star Trek Television Internship
Curtis Senior High School graduate Mikayla Gingrey is one of two students nationwide to be chosen to participate in the Star Trek Command Training Program this fall. The paid internship, provided by a collaboration between the Television Academy Foundation, and CBS Television Studios, focuses on the production of the Star Trek Universe franchise while giving students multi-level experience within the television industry. Nordstrom Rack Opens at Tacoma Mall
