The Tacoma Mall is undergoing a major development, resulting in the additions of a Nordstrom Rack, Ulta, and Marcus Theatres movie theater to open prior to the 2020 holiday season. The Simon-owned shopping center recently announced the additions as part of the first phase of a larger redevelopment.

“The announcement of these retailers and entertainment venue shows our continued commitment to invest in the Tacoma community and further solidifies Tacoma Mall as a premier lifestyle destination,” said Eric Sadi, chief operating officer of leasing. “Simon is leading the way with transformational projects in the state of Washington, and just as we are doing at Northgate in Seattle, we will bring to Tacoma a uniquely curated mix of retailers, entertainment, and dining options.”

Once the first phase is completed, Simon will begin construction on an urban village on Tacoma Mall’s north side, where the latest additions will be located. This area will evolve into a pedestrian-friendly destination with a multitude of dining, entertainment, and retail options.

Nordstrom Rack is an off-price division of Nordstrom, Inc., offering apparel and accessories sold at Nordstrom at discounted prices. Ulta is the largest beauty retailer in the U.S., with cosmetics, fragrance, and skin and hair care products available for purchase. Marcus Theatres owns and operates 90 movie theaters in the country, operating 1,098 screens. This will be the first location in Washington state.
