Tacoma’s Broadway (between 9th and 11th) will be buzzing with beer and blues on Saturday, August 5, for the fifth annual Brew Five Three: Tacoma’s Beer and Blues Festival — hosted by Broadway Center for the Performing Arts.

From 1-8 p.m. members of the 21 plus crowd can enjoy a packed line-up of live music, food trucks, and 40 breweries and cideries. Breweries at the event will include 7 Seas Brewing, Black Raven Brewing Co., Cash Brewing Co., and many more!

Brew Five Three Blues Acts:

  • 1:30 p.m. – Little Bill and the Blue Notes Trio
  • 3:00 p.m. – The Rusty Cleavers
  • 5:00 p.m. – Junkyard Jane with Randy Oxford
  • 6:30 p.m. – Stephanie Anne Johnson Band

The Tacoma Chamber of Commerce recently honored the block party with a New Tacoma Public Places Award, “recognizing the best activation of a public park, open space, or area in the public right-of-way.”

Broadway Center for the Performing Arts expects this event to be a hit. Tickets to the beer and blues extravaganza are limited to ensure a positive experience to those who partake.

It’s best to buy tickets in advance to beat the lines! Tickets are $30 general and $25 for military members (plus Box Office fees) and round up to $33 and $28 at the door. Hot tip: if you call the Box Office (253-591-5894), you can even add 10 tokens to your order for $15! Designated drivers can also purchase tickets for $10.
